What Keypoint Does

Keypoint is a Chrome extension that enhances the keyboard experience on AI chat platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, DeepSeek, and Mistral. It also provides a local prompt library for Keypoint+ users.

Data We Collect

Keypoint does not collect personal data, prompt content, or anything you type. Specifically:

• We do not read or store your prompts or conversations.
• We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifier.
• We do not work with advertising networks or data brokers.

Local Storage (Keypoint+)

For Keypoint+ users, your prompt history, saved prompts, and preferences are stored using your browser's built-in local storage. This data:

• Lives entirely on your device, inside your Chrome profile.
• Is never transmitted to any server, including ours.
• Can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage in Chrome settings.

Permissions

Keypoint requests only the minimum permissions needed to function:

• activeTab — to identify the current AI platform and become active on it.
• storage — to save your preferences and Keypoint+ prompt library locally.

We do not request access to browsing history, all sites, clipboard, or any other sensitive permission.

Telemetry and Analytics

We completely reject invasive tracking. Keypoint does not embed Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or any user session recording software. To improve the product, we count basic, fully anonymous usage signals, such as which platforms are most active. These counts cannot be traced back to you, and your prompts are never touched.

Third Parties

Keypoint does not share personal data with any third party. Anonymous usage counts are processed by a privacy-focused service and are never sold or used for advertising.

Keypoint+ Billing

If you subscribe to Keypoint+, payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy. We receive only a confirmation that a valid licence exists. Your payment details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and are never seen or stored by us.

Children

Keypoint is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the extension's release notes.
